My studio is in Vlaardingen Centre, this west coast of Holland near Rotterdam.
I work here every day on my own paintings, and think about creating fun and informative workshops that I could give. When I started here 12 years ago, I was mainly concerned with providing various decorative art workshops, such as marbleling,woodgraining and old decorative finishes (these workshops, I still give) Many new workshops have been added sinds that time.Soon after that I got requests to make murals for private houses and restaurants, that really took off as well.I painted several Greek restaurants.
People wanted to learn that as well.So since that time I give workshops in (trompe l'oeil,the eye deceives,or 3d on a flat serface) mural painting.
I also wrote a instruktieboek Step by step Mural Guide for Beginners.
Bob Ross and art
One day I saw Bob Ross on TV, I soon began to look every week, and realized that this technique could be a real asset for mystudio.I got my certificate. Since that time I also have the certificate Flower painting.
Trained as an artist, no one can understand that I give Bob Ross classes, but I see it differently .. You know, I met many people who would like to paint, but just but don´t know how to start, or don´t have the nerve, or not dare for fear that it all would goe wrong. This technique can make a beginning, to learn how to use oil paint. This could very well be a start to painting all kinds of paintings.
Ones you know how to use materials you can paint everthing you like. Painting is about seing things, is looking. Ones you start, you will start looking at objects differently.You can integrate all kinds of techniques, but if you want to stay with the bob Ross technique that is fine too... As long as you enjoy painting!
